Mission
The mission of The Rosemary Youth Ballet is to support the pursuit of a career in ballet for each and every aspiring student who participates in our programs. Additionally, we strive to inspire a love of ballet and of the arts that lasts a lifetime.
Alumni Support
The Rosemary Youth Ballet stands behind its alumni as they transition from student to trainee to paid company dancer. Support includes funding for intensive training between seasons, assisting in travel for company auditions, and one-on-one training with the alumni’s core teachers,
Scholarships
The Rosemary Youth Ballet wants to ensure that every child who dreams of being a professional ballet dancer has the opportunity to train at the appropriate level in a positive environment, regardless of ability to pay for such training. Need-based scholarships are awarded to children age five and up.
Sunday Supplemental Training
This is a program for intermediate and advanced students who work hard, have good attendance, and have a positive attitude. This program offers additional intense training at
no cost to the student.
each session begins with a technique class that focuses on the fundamentals and placement in flat ballet shoes and on pointe. it then moves on to the fine-tuning and coaching of individual variations chosen from the major classical ballets, such as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, and Don Quixote. This training culminates in the presentation of individual variations at elite ballet competitions including the Youth America Grand Prix and the Universal Ballet Competition.
